Sea Moss has been something I have been promoting since COVID-19 began, recommending to anyone who would listen, to try it because of its benefits on our respiratory systems. It's something I thoroughly (& properly) discovered during one of my first trips to Jamaica, in 2013. Prior to that vacation, I only knew little of sea moss and hated the smell of it in its purest state, so I stopped buying it. Fast forward to 2018 and I found the powder, which doesn't have a smell, so I was easily able to add it to my morning smoothies. Now, I have sourced out a great local company, who makes sea moss gel and I eat it by the tablespoon.
Sea moss is a seaweed also known as irish moss. It's scientific name is chondrus crispus. It offers 92 of the 102 minerals in which the body is made of. It contains important minerals, such as potassium iodide, zinc, magnesium and calcium, to name a few.
All sea moss is not created equal and yes, there are people who sell fake sea moss, but I believe it is because they lack the knowledge - of course, others wish to make a profit from its trendiness. I recommend doing a search on how to spot the fake from the real, as well the differences between gold and purple sea moss. AND of course, I cannot talk about sea moss, without mentioning Dr. Sebi. Please, if you do nothing else on your quest to learn more, start with THIS video and keep going.
