The older I get, I realize the value in stores such as T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods. Frequenting any TJX store can be the highlight of my day, especially when I find affordable goodies like the items you see in the photo below.
|Hemp Protein & Quinoa Flour|
One of the main reasons why I am excited about the Hemp is because I can add a scoop to my juice and receive a good amount of protein to my diet for the day. If you are wondering about the benefits of Hemp, please click here to review a previous blog post of mine. This 16 oz can only cost me $12, compared to most retailers who sell it for $15-$18.
As for the Quinoa Flour, I purchased it because I knew that I was getting a great deal ($6.99 for 17.6 oz.)! I love eating the grain quinoa, but am so curious to experiment with the flour. Obviously, it will be used in place of all-purpose and wheat flours (which I never use anyways), but I am looking forward to baking something tasty! I just had my first vegan cupcake, in which I'll share with you the details next month, so perhaps I'll recreate my mother's red velvet recipe utilizing the quinoa flour...wish me luck!
Anywho, next time you see a TJX store, be sure to check out their food selections. I guarantee that you will be shocked at the prices and quality of the items for sale there!
