GT'S Aqua Kefir

I actually kept my word from this 2016 post, in that kombucha remains a daily staple. On my way to work, every morning, I consume one bottle of GTs Kombucha (mango is my favorite). I don't drink sodas or much of anything that is carbonated, so kombucha gives me the fizz that I need and is also healing to my gut, which is a double win. Between Sprouts Farmers Market and Trader Joe's, I find the best deals for my GTs Kombucha.

While picking up a few bottles at TJ's last week, I met their latest addition, GTs Aqua Kefir. At $2.99, I couldn't resist grabbing a couple, just to try. It doesn't hurt to try, right?!

Orange Peach Mango
I have to be honest, I was happy to have tried it, but I don't think I will be parting ways with my beloved kombucha anytime soon. Aqua Kefir is described as being a "sparkling probiotic drink" and while it had fizz, the flavor, in my opinion, was a bit watered down (no pun intended). Granted, I am only comparing it against the mango flavored kombucha and the flavor you see pictured above. I did not purchase any of their other 5 flavors, but I plan on it. Again, it's a healthy drink, with a price tag of $3 - it's totally worth the experimentation!

Only having prior experience with kefir, that is milk based (see post, Coconut Kefir), I didn't want to seem to be an expert with "water kefir", so I scoured the net, to learn more. Here's a link you may find helpful, in case you're also wondering what the difference is and want to give it a go!

Have you tried Aqua Kefir? If so, please feel free to share your thoughts.
