Support your Local (Bee) Farmer!

Since Spring has Sprung and we are now in the midst of allergy season, I thought it would be best to remind you to support your local bee farmer! I'm not sure where you live, but in Atlanta, the pollen count has been on steroids for almost a month!

Because seasonal allergies may resemble respiratory symptoms, many people reporting to my hospital are on pins + needles, thinking they have COVID-19. With the pollen count being so high, it's best to mitigate any anxiety around COVID, by getting your allergies in check. One of the things that I have always suggested, is investing in your local bee farmer.

When it comes to honey that is raw + locally grown, there hasn't been any scientific proof, regarding its efficacy as an immunotherapy. You know, like when you routinely take something and over time, your body builds up an immunity towards it? The myth is that you give your body doses of whatever it is that you're allergic to and after a while, you build an immunity towards the allergan (in this case, the allergan is pollen). Internally, I don't care about scientific proof and I go strictly off of how something makes me feel. Honey provides me with much relief, which is why I don't hesitate to support my local bee farmer!
Little Bee Project is a small business, located in Atlanta, GA. If you're local to the city, I definitely recommend supporting them!
